Customer counts on Cat equipment for major demolition project near Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, opened in 1937 and was, at one time, the longest suspension bridge in the world.
That same year, an elevated highway known as Doyle Drive also opened and has been one of the major roads linking the bridge to the city of San Francisco.
In late April, a Caterpillar customer was hired to demolish Doyle Drive, which was more than 5,000 feet long, and had only 24 hours to do it! Click here to watch a video of the demolition and learn how they got the job done.
