Last Backhoe Loader Produced in Piracicaba

At the end of June, the assembly of backhoe loader (BHL) serial number CDB10777 successfully ended the process of transferring production of backhoe loaders from Piracicaba, Brazil, to the new Caterpillar Brasil facility in Campo Largo, Brazil. This family of products was produced in Piracicaba for 12 years.

Moving forward, Caterpillar Brasil Campo Largo will assume the full production and assembly of backhoe loaders in Brazil. Opened in October last year, the Campo Largo factory specializes in producing high quality compact products for Building Construction Products Division.

Meanwhile, in Caterpillar Brasil Piracicaba, the enormous transformation of the manufacturing area for the assembly of larger equipment continues.

The process to transfer this product from one factory to another required overcoming significant challenges, while maintaining the quality of the final product and increasing the production volume.

Next, the focus of the Caterpillar Brasil team is to complete the transfer process of 924 and 938 Wheel Loaders from the Piracicaba plant to Campo Largo. This is another challenge that will be met with the same dedication and professionalism that characterizes the Caterpillar Brasil team.
