Cat® Rental Store Provides Power to the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

2012 is destined to be an extraordinary year for the China auto industry. Following China’s transformation into an auto society, the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (BJIAE), with the theme of Leading through Innovation, demonstrated China’s great ambition and determination to become a global auto market leader. The exhibition hosted more than 2,000 vehicle companies from 14 countries and regions. Participants and exhibitors expected the highest international standard for the expo. And, for the hosts of BJIAE, and the expo had to be nothing short of perfect.

With so many exhibitors and the large size of the exhibition, the BJIAE set up a temporary pavilion, E5, for the duration of the expo. However, there was no municipal power supply system in the E5 pavilion. This posed a problem for the eight Volkswagen Group brands that were exhibitors in the E5 pavilion: Volkswagenwerk, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Porsche, Lamborghini, SEAT and Skoda, which required 9,300 kW power supply for professional lighting and multimedia displays. To help the exhibitors overcome these challenges and demanding requirements, the Lei Shing Hong Cat® Rental Store succeeded as the final bidder and became the power supplier for the E5 pavilion during BJIAE.

During BJIAE, tens of thousands of spectators visited the E5 pavilion. With so many impressive cars, spectators were too excited to notice the 32 sets of Cat generators lying quietly outside the back of E5 pavilion, which supplied electricity power to enable all of the displays. The Cat Rental Store was praised for its extraordinary power solutions and was complimented by the client as being “so professional that it even exceeded European power suppliers.”
