Caterpillar Global Construction & Infrastructure Division Sponsors New Product Training in Latin America

About 250 Cat dealer and sales personnel recently participated in new product training sessions in Latin America.

Recently, the Caterpillar Global Construction & Infrastructure Division organized two product training sessions in Mexico for dealer and Caterpillar sales personnel. A total of 250 people from 20 Cat dealers in Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and South America participated in this training on new products and tools. 

Product experts led the sessions and structured the training modules to spend half the time in the classroom covering the new product introduction, machine features and benefits and the Caterpillar value. The remaining time was spent out "in the iron," where participants had the opportunity to reinforce classroom discussions and see the products. The sessions used 21 Cat machines to allow sales people to take away the tools and information they need to succeed in serving customers.

"This event was very beneficial to the sales force and a great way to review machines on-site,“ said Salvador Estepan, Sales Manager at Cat dealer IMCA (Dominican Republic).

 “This training was a great opportunity for our sales force to update and reinforce their knowledge of Cat equipment. These sessions provided us with the necessary elements to point out and demonstrate our competitive advantages that clearly explain why Caterpillar is the best option on the market,” said Gerardo Marcos, Machine Sales Director at Cat dealer Madisa (Mexico). The comments given by the participants agreed that all instructors, materials and equipment interaction were the best, highlighting the instructors’ extensive knowledge and experience. “We are already looking forward to participating next year in another product training, which I am sure will once again exceed our expectations,” he added. 

The messages the sales personnel received in the training modules will greatly benefit them as they return to their regular sales duties and serve Caterpillar customers.
