Caterpillar Sponsors Exhibition Supporting Russian-American Relations

Recently, Caterpillar sponsored an exhibition in Russia called "The Tsar & The President, Alexander II & Abraham Lincoln: Liberator & Emancipator." The exhibition is being presented as a forum for comparing Russian and American history and for finding grounds for future cooperation.
Caterpillar was proud to be a part of the event as it highlights the continued progress of Russian-American relations.
The exhibition was covered by US and Russian media and was attended by high-ranking US and Russian governmental officials including the US Ambassador to Russia. The opening was held at the famous Tsarskoye Selo (Tsar's Village) near St. Petersburg at the historic premises of Big Ekaterina's Palace.
The President Lincoln - Tsar Alexander II Exhibition is timed to correspond with the 150th anniversary of the emancipation of the serfs. It explores the common goals of President Abraham Lincoln and Russian Tsar Alexander II - the most important theme is their shared status as liberators. This is a striking and historic display with items on display such as the pen with which Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation shown opposite the quill pen with which Alexander II signed his famous manifesto, which liberated the serfs.
