Perkins Wins Prestigious Award

Perkins, a Caterpillar subsidiary with headquarters in the UK, has been named the winner of the EEF South East Region Skills and Training Award for recognising and successfully implementing a multi-skilled, multi-discipline apprenticeship skills programme, leading to competencies in five different disciplines.

One of the world's leading suppliers of diesel and gas engines for industrial, agricultural, power generation and marine applications, Perkins won the award for the way it has successfully developed the vocational elements of its apprenticeship programme enabling NVQs to be gained in areas such as Quality, Machining, Operations and Global Engine Development.
