Caterpillar Brand Perkins Celebrates 80 Years

Last week was a great week for Caterpillar Inc. and the Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) team as they celebrated the 80th Anniversary of Perkins. On June 12, employees at all global locations were able to participate in local celebrations to reflect on the fantastic achievements of the past 80 years - all made possible by the great people who have made the business a success.

June 12 also marked a new opportunity for the IPSD team as they launched a refreshed and strengthened Perkins brand to employees, distributors and customers. Finally, last week IPSD was honored with an invitation to attend the Royal Jubilee Picnic at Burghley House in Stamford. IPSD Vice President Gwenne Henricks was incredibly proud to represent employees by attending the event along with Tony Green, Facility Manager, and she also had the opportunity to meet Queen Elizabeth II during lunch. This was in recognition of the contribution Perkins has made to the local communities, not just in Peterborough, but also at all of their global locations.
