Caterpillar North Little Rock Facility Reaches 1,000 Motor Grader Milestone

On December 16, 2011, 600 employees gathered at Caterpillar’s North Little Rock motor grader facility to celebrate a significant milestone—the production of the facility’s 1,000th motor grader.
Production temporarily shut down so all employees could partake in the celebration where they enjoyed refreshments and took a facility-wide picture with the unit. "Rolling the 1,000th Motor Grader off the line is a major accomplishment for NLR," said Paul Rivera, General Manager, in an opening speech at the ceremony. “2011 has truly been an exciting year for our facility and none of it would have been possible without the persistence and dedication of the North Little Rock team. From operations and logistics to the product group, thanks to each and every one of you for helping us make history."
The 1,000th unit is being sold by Cat® dealer Empire Machinery to Fisher Industries.
The North Little Rock facility started the first motor grader pilot in June 2010. It is the worldwide source for two motor grader models, the 14M and 16M, and produces six additional motor grader models.
